Provides education on the proper use and installation of car seats, booster seats and seat belts, and teach the parent or caregiver the skills needed to empower them to confidently choose, install, and use appropriate seats for the children they transport.
This presentation is intended for new parents, soon-to-be parents, and caregivers. It is also suitable for interested community groups or anyone who transports children. Installation is discussed in a general sense. Demonstrations, and limited hands-on practice, can also be added.
Offers basic first aid and caregiving skills for youth 11-15 years old. Participants learn how to provide care to children in a variety of age groups, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies. The course also offers youth the skills to promote themselves as babysitters to prospective families.
