Mark Noël
Owner & Trainer
With over 30 years of training experience, Mark has an amazing breadth of knowledge and an adaptive teaching style. He was a safety trainer, within the nuclear industry, for over 15 years. He is passionate about helping learners to address their fears and succeed. Mark trained an emergency response team that assisted employees, fire, police, and paramedics at a nuclear facility. He was also a member. Mark participated in several site safety inspections, audits, and large-scale emergency exercises. He also created the Workplace Violence Prevention policy.
Outside of Helping Hands, Mark is a member of the volunteer search and rescue team Ontario Community Emergency Assistance Program (OCEAP). Regular training and skills practice helps Mark address his own continuous improvement goals. Mark is a member of OCEAP’s Medic team. For almost 15 years Mark has been a volunteer with Port Hope’s Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny (FYF) event. In 2023 Mark accepted an invitation to join the FYF Board of Directors. In 2024 Mark completed training to become an educator with the AdventureSmart suite of outdoor safety courses.
Training programs that Mark has helped to design, develop, deliver, and evaluate; Emergency Response & Evacuation, WHMIS 2015/GHS, Job Hazard Analysis, Workplace Violence Prevention, Fire Extinguisher Safety &Operation, Respectful Workplace, Foreign Material Exclusion, Acid & Base Handling, Powered Pallet Cart Theory & Practical, and New Employee Orientation.
